Nettur P Damodaran, was an eminent freedom fighter of Malabar. He was an ardent follower of Mahatma Gandhi and spear headed the freedom struggle against British rule in Malabar.
   
Miss Rohini Teacher, Head Mistress of Girls School was an extraordinarily gifted teacher, who was primarily responsible for setting high academic standards in that school
 
Father George Joseph Pathiyil was the head master of Thalassery St.Joseph's Boys High School from 1952 to 1980.He made many reformations in the school system that existed during that time.It was due to his hardwork and selfless service that he obtained the state award for the best teacher in 1976 and national award for the best teacher in 1977. 
 
Sri.Murkoth Kumaran is one of the best short story writers in Malayalam literature.He was born in 1874 at Thalasserry. He obtained B.A.Degree from Madras Christian College and thereafter he has undergone training for teacher education from Sydapetu College.
 
Advocate Shri P Kunhiraman: As the first Congress Chairman of Telicherry (now Thalassery) Municipality, he figures in prominence in the history of Thalassery. He also entered the annals of Indian history of post- Independence as a member of the Constituent Assembly. As a representative of the people he got the unique opportunity to develop Thalassery & to serve its people in the capacities as Municipal Counselor, Municipal Chairman, Member of Legislative Assembly & Member of Parliament
